The trip back to the house was painfully quiet but mercifully short. I was itching to get out of here, to get back home. Being near Gabriel was preventing me from thinking straight, because every time I was around him, I couldn't prevent the natural pull from drawing me to him like a moth to a flame. If I was going to make a decision, I had to allow my mind a moment of perfect clarity. With my Mate around that would never happen.
