Even though he didn't mean to leave his three-year-old brother behind back then, deep down, it was still because he resented Vivian for how she mistreated him and tore apart their family. That’s why he hadn’t watched Austin Quinn closely enough, and the boy got kidnapped.
All these years, he hadn’t dared set foot in the Quinn family villa. That place held too many memories—photos of Austin, the way Vivian missed him day and night, and the grassy yard with the old swing where they used to lie side by side as kids.
“Mr. Quinn, it’s time to head to the movie theater,” Lucas reminded him gently, pulling him back from his thoughts.
He almost forgot—he had a movie date with Serena this morning. He’d even consulted Connor for tips beforehand.
Flowers, steak, wine, a movie...
He stood up, relaxed his tie a bit, and said, “Tell her to come in.”
“Yes, sir.”
When Serena walked into the CEO’s office, slightly hunched, she didn’t see anyone around. “Mr. Quinn?” she called out, puzzled.
