Chapter 64
Kieran and his group arrived outside Elizabeth's property.
The vacant land stretched alongside a road that led to a beach and the sea beyond. Not far off were a few shops and some residential homes, but this area was different. There was nothing but weeds as far as the eye could see, with two old houses nearly swallowed by the overgrowth in the middle of it all.
Their car had flattened a path through the weeds, forcing a rough road into existence.
"Kieran, I heard the old lady has a nasty temper. Are you sure this actress can fool her?" Tamara asked.
Kieran replied calmly, "Her temper isn't the problem. She's mentally unstable. Word is, she hasn't recognized anyone who visits in over six months. If that's true, why wouldn't she believe someone claiming to be her daughter?"
Tamara nodded. "That makes sense."
