Chapter 75

"Mildred!" exclaimed Zoey. "You're finally here. This is…" She trailed off questioningly. "My younger brother, Alphonse Ginger," replied Mildred. Zoey held out a hand. "Nice to meet you. My name is Zoey Sheppard." Alphonse stood behind Mildred and looked timidly at Zoey. Mildred explained, "Alphonse hasn't interacted with others much, so he's rather timid. You don't have to pay him any special attention. He can just follow me." Zoey glanced at Alphonse in bewilderment, then very politely looked away and stopped measuring him up. "My brother is waiting for you in his room. I'll take you there," she said instead. They walked toward Estaria Garden together. Along the way, Zoey told her, "My mother recently took the medicine you prescribed and is feeling much better. She's been looking for an opportunity to thank you, but Dorian mentioned that you were very busy. As such, she couldn't bring herself to bother you. "When she learned that you were visiting today, she kept reminding
