The next day at the office, people kept casting curious glances my way.
When I reached my office door, I finally understood why.
The lock had been changed.
Inside, Camille sat with her legs crossed. She was wearing a mocking smile.
"Ms. Layton, could you please unlock my office door?"
"I threw your things out," Camille sneered. "From now on, you can work in the hallway.
"Don't dirty my space."
I remained silent, the moment stretching on like an eternity.
All my documents were packed into three large cardboard boxes on the floor.
"Aren't you leaving yet?"
"On it."
Without showing any emotion, I gathered the boxes and stepped out.
The office was struck by an unusual sight—the chairwoman's secretary relegated to working in the hallway.
Papers lay scattered on the floor as I crouched like a punished student, silently immersed in my work.
"Mr. Wexler, this document needs your approval."
A few department heads stopped by. Their tone was courteous, but the judgment in their eye
