Chapter 15

He needed a lady. A lady to have sex with. With that thought in mind, he dressed up impressively for his date. Dark. Tall. Handsome. Arrogant and formidable, the media had described him. And he looks the combination of it all tonight. "Always the man keeping to time, aren t you?" Alexia said offering her his hand for a kiss He smiled. Taking the extended hand and placing a kiss on it. He felt nothing "Want to meet my family?" she asked Michael looked at his wristwatch and made an apologetic face "How about some other time honey?" he said "That sounds nice, meaning we ll be doing this again." She sounded happy. Michael hoped not but still smiled. He walked to the other side of the car to open the door for her. "Thank you" "You are welcome." He said and quickly circled back to the other side. Somehow, he wanted to be done with the date all of a sudden. It was a bad idea to think she could use Alexia to get Mitchell out of his mind. When he had kissed Alexia, he had expected to feel something, some tingling sensation but he felt nothing. Then how could a mere touch of hands make him feel like a starved male while kissing Alexia had done nothing to ignite any sexual hunger in him. Even if it was just a flick. "Mitchell," he cursed under his breath silently. "Did you say something?" Alexia asked, jolting him out of his thoughts. "No." He answered, forcing a smile. This was the first time he would be so carried away with the thought of another woman when he was with another, especially one who was in every way as beautiful as Alexia. Michael sent her a wink and she smiled. Alexia was tall, elegant, and beautiful with an irrefutable fashion sense. She was curvy in all the right places, though younger than Mitchell, but certainly not as innocent. She doesn t have the look. The innocent wide eyes look. Mitchell s look. Realizing his thought had gone back to Mitchell again, Michael frowned and forcefully brought himself to concentrate on the woman beside him. He had after all fixed the date, therefore it was his responsibility to see to it that his date had a good time. Michael turned towards Alexia with a smile. "Guess where we are going?" he asked "The new restaurant that just opened on the island?" Alexia asked delightfully Michael smiled and nodded his head in agreement. He had no place in mind when he asked her but just as he had hoped, she had provided for him the place she would love to go and that was exactly where he was going to take her. He had heard about the new restaurant too. The Blue Restaurant. Yes, that was it. He remembered he was supposed to have a business meeting there a couple of days ago with one of his business partners but the latter had canceled out due to an emergency that came up. He typed the name of the restaurant on his car computer dashboard and in no time the map displayed providing them direction. Now they are good to go, he said to himself as he zoomed out of the compound into the beautiful evening breeze. "I heard their foods are excellent and services are top-notch," Alexia was saying, smiling lovingly at him. Michael just nodded his head in agreement and concentrated on his driving. twenty minutes later, they arrived at the restaurant. The valet approached them, and Michael handed over the key to him to find a suitable spot to park the car. "Wow. This place is indeed really beautiful; Michael don t you agree?" She said tugging at his hand. It reminds me of that Italian restaurant I visit whenever I am in the state. "Yes, it is," Michael answered, pretending to be taken in by the beauty of the environment. Michael slung a hand over her back and headed inside the restaurant. "Welcome," said the coat attendant at the facility check. May I have your coat?" She said sweetly to Alexia. "Here," said Alexia, barely paying attention to the attendant as she walked gracefully into the restaurant. Michael observed how Alexia had responded to the attendant and wondered if Mitchell could have responded in the same manner. "No," She wouldn t have responded in such a manner. She d probably have handed her coat politely with one of her beautiful smiles for the attendant. "He was comparing Alexia again with Mitchell," he thought, bringing himself back to the present. Determined to put a rein on his thoughts, he turned towards Alexia, his hand resting possessively on the back of Alexia, he navigated himself through to their seat, one that was provided for them at a secluded corner of the restaurant, it was dimly lighted providing some degree of privacy and solitude. No one would pay notice to them over there, except for the lady with her back to him sitting right across them.
