Aurelia's ability to switch gears so quickly was almost comical, leaving the room steeped in awkward tension. The person herself, however, seemed blissfully ignorant as she reached out to grab Skyla's hand, her voice syrupy and insincere.

"This little brat is really pushing it!" Aurelia muttered under her breath. She fumed inwardly though her face remained composed. With practiced ease, she plastered on a look of guilt and sighed.
