With a sunken heart, Chad sent a voice message. "Stop messing around, babe. Are you actually running away from home?"
A red exclamation mark showed up beside his text—he had been blocked.
Chad's expression darkened completely. This was the first time Willow had acted out.
He raked his hand through his hair irritably and was about to head upstairs when he saw Maria walking over carrying a box. She carefully said, "Ms. Stanford sent this over, Mr. Lawson."
Chad didn't even register the change in how she addressed Willow. He grabbed the box and hurriedly tore it open, finding a letter at the very top.
He picked up the letter and opened it, revealing Willow's neat handwriting.
