Joseph said, "Willow had a crush on you for over ten years. She'd felt that way since middle school until college, then she became your assistant, and finally your wife. She'd loved you so openly without holding back, yet you kept her tucked away by your side, refusing to even acknowledge her publicly."
Chad's chest tightened. His throat felt dry, yet he couldn't get a word out.
Joseph coldly chuckled and continued, "Do you know how she could so easily obtain your signature? That's because she knew you too well—she knew you'd never bother to read anything she handed you.
"She didn't even have to lie to you. All she had to do was slide the divorce agreement in front of you the same way she always did, and you'd sign them without so much as a glance."
