Chapter 61 Turning the Tables
The guests buzzed with speculation as everyone wondered who was responsible for this setup.
Natalie began to speak. "Ms. Summerfield, I get that you don't like me, but what you're doing is…"
She didn't need to finish. Each word was a blade aimed straight at Audrey.
Natalie lifted her eyes, a hint of disappointment and icy intent in her gaze. Yet, she maintained a poised posture.
Everyone's attention fell squarely on Audrey. The air grew tense.
Audrey forced herself to stay calm as she squeezed out a strained smile. "What do you mean, Natalie? Why would I do such a thing? You can't accuse me just because you hold a grudge against me!"
Hailey quickly stepped in with tears welling in her eyes. She was the very image of grievance. "Nellie, I know you've never liked me or my mom, but you shouldn't slander us like this…"
Natalie smiled softly, but her eyes were devoid of warmth. "Really? Then, how do you explain this surveillance footage?"
She swiped her finger on her phone screen.
