    Three months had gone by since Gabriel and Nicole started their fake relationship. Everything has been fine between them. They ve also gone out on several dates.
  It was late at night on a certain day, Gabriel was in his study working as he usually does when Nicole walked in.

  &quot;Hey.&quot; He replied and went back to what he was doing.
  The room was quiet for a while before Nicole spoke up again.
  &quot;What do you always do with all these documents?&quot; she asked, leaving her seat and walked to Gabriel, standing behind him.
  &quot;I m working.&quot; He flatly replied.
  &quot;It s quite obvious you re working. What I want to know is do you understand all this stuff?... I mean, doesn t it get complicated sometimes?&quot; she asked, taking a peek at the documents.

  Chapter 18
  Nicole hurriedly went to look for the house administrator, she needed him to get a doctor to come check up on Gabriel. When she did that, she instructed the maids to make chicken soup for Gabriel. 
  After about half an hour the doctor arrived. He did a check up on Gabriel and told Nicole that he was down with a fever. He prescribed some medication for Gabriel and told Nicole how and when they were to be taken. He also told her that Gabriel needed to rest for a week.
  Before leaving, the doctor strictly told Gabriel not to wear himself out with too much work when he eventually gets better. 
  Nicole thanked the doctor for his time and saw him out. She ordered one of the maids to go buy the prescribed drugs, then she returned to Gabriel s room and told him to shower before taking his drugs.
  He dragged himself out of bed and Nicole helped him to the bathroom. She ran his

  She hasn t talked to anyone about her personal life. Vanessa and Rick were her friends but she wasn t so close to them on a personal level because of what had happened to her in the past.

  &quot;No, no, it s fine. I actually want to talk about it since I haven t done that with anyone. It eats me up sometimes.&quot; she said cutting him off.

  Gabriel knew she was only smiling to cover her pain. He gently placed his hand on hers, showing her that she could trust him.
