Chapter 20 Into the Back Alley Alone
Emily shook her head. From the other pocket of her coat, she pulled out a phone that had been on silent mode the whole time.
The screen lit up with an ongoing call of 32 minutes to the emergency communication center.
She wasn't stupid. Before meeting Bradley and Viola in the back alley of the hospital, she'd called the police. Using a second phone, she kept the line connected throughout and the phone hidden in her pocket.
She knew all too well that a video could be easily deleted or dismissed as falsely fabricated. It wouldn't be enough to nail Amelia, Bradley, and Viola for good.
What she needed was their confession, which could serve as undeniable, irrefutable evidence of their wrongdoings.
