Chapter 64 Kicking Him to the Curb
Gabriel's face gradually turned paler the more Emily spoke.
Emily averted her gaze and said, "I'll ask my lawyers to prepare the divorce papers. You have no right to refuse." She closed her eyes after she was done speaking, refusing to spare him another glance.
Mallory didn't feel any sympathy for Gabriel in the slightest despite how crestfallen he looked. "Didn't you hear her? Please leave right now." She opened the door and gestured for him to leave. Her eyes were as cold as ice.
Gabriel's lips trembled slightly, but in the end, he couldn't find it in himself to say anything. He simply turned around and walked out of the ward with stiff and sluggish steps.
Soon, the ward's door clicked shut behind him.
Mallory breathed a sigh of relief. Then, she whipped around and hurried back to the bed.
Her heart felt like it was breaking as she took in Emily's pallid complexion and saw that her eyes were squeezed shut too.
