Getting Past The Past

Sapphire watched as Oliver wrapped his hand around Heather's shoulder and led her away from the room but couldn't hear what they were saying, her eyes were blurry and her ears were ringing. She was tempted to lie down there on the floor and take a breath while letting them do whatever they wanted to do to her but her love for her unborn child won't allow that. It would eat at her conscience for the rest of her life if she allowed it, so with all the strength in her, which isn't much by the way, she tried to stand up but her leg failed her and she found herself on the floor again. She could feel the perspiration all over her body and she knew that she was coming down with a fever. Doesn't matter, she crawled her way to the door and opened it, she crawled out of the apartment and locked the door behind her when she was out of his place. She rested her back on the door and let out a breath before she continued her journey. She crawled all the way to the elevator because she had to get out
