It wasn't some complicated document—just a breakdown of account transactions.
Nelson Cooper might not be an accounting expert, but he sure recognized that account name.
One of the smaller companies under Cooper Group's umbrella. Which meant, the money came from his end.
Even if he didn't transfer it directly, he was still indirectly involved.
Dominic explained, "That cash went to the people who tried to corner Claire when she returned. It didn't come straight from your account, but you can't say it's unrelated."
In other words, if things had gone south and the cops looked into it, Nelson wouldn't be arrested, but his name wouldn't come out clean either. Someone else would likely take the fall first.
