"Language" I didn't see Jack at the door. He walked towards us and placed the tray full of a jug of juice and glasses down. He turned toward me and took Dan from my arms "We are going out for some fresh air" he said. He left with a nod towards my friends. There was no excuse now. "That was my son" I looked down at my lap "I'm sorry" "Why" Daisy asked, Ethan was too angry to form a sentence, I figured. "I.....I....." I tried to think but my mind was blank "lots of things here and there" I said, that made no sense even to me. Tears welled up in my eyes as I tried hard not to let sorrow overcome me. Daisy came and sat beside me; she took my hands and made me look at her "Don't cry. Thank you for being alive" She took me in her arms and I started to cry again. This time it was guilt that took over me "I'm sorry" I repeated over and over again. "Enough" Ethan said with finality "We are not the only on
