Chapter 69
He walked me to the space behind the kitchen that I couldn't see from the door and my breath stuck for the nth time today.
There was a table for two set at a corner of the space next to a huge French window. The lake, the dark mountain and the now prominent moon were peeking into the house through the glass. A round source of light was hanging above the table spreading a soothing light to the otherwise dark corner.
Dennis pulled a chair for me. I sat down after thanking him. He moved to the opposite chair.
"What is this place?" I finally voiced my curiosity
He smiled as he withdrew the lids of the dishes. Are you kidding me, those were my favorites, all of them. Okay! I'm sold.
"My grandfather built it for my grandmother" he said.
"Awww how romantic" I grinned "So you guys actually own this magical place" my eyes widened as I gave the entire place another sweeping glance.
"No we don't own it" he
