Cassandra hesitated, her hand tightening around the knife handle.
"Cass," Gregory said, his voice low and magnetic. His chin rested against the hollow of her neck.
He went on, "Stop cooking. I already called for food delivery," he added.
She stayed silent, but the faint trace of another woman's perfume clinging to him made her stomach churn. She knew the scent well.
She'd caught a whiff of it the very night she woke up, and later again at the office. It was Olivia's favorite perfume.
Swallowing down a wave of nausea, Cassandra looked down at the arms wrapped around her waist. Those were the same hands that had held another woman just hours ago.
