The Lies
GENERAL POV
The Morning that announced the D-day arrived gently at the Verona estate.
The mansion felt different….it felt alive in a way it usually wasn’t.
The typical quiet order Lucian had always preferred seemed to have loosened up in a way, replaced by a sort of controlled motion.
Garden staff moved across the lawns, as they set up lights and colourful canopies.
Poles were being lifted in numbers, adjusted, and anchored. Florists passed through side doors with crates of flowers, their voices low, their hands busy.
As for the securities, they shifted to their respective positions almost invisibly.
The house was preparing itself for the grand celebration ahead.
Meanwhile the celebrant…. Lilith herself, moments after waking up stood at the terrace of her house, barefoot, wrapped in a light robe.
Sleep had since slipped away from her quietly. She rested her hands on the cool stone railing, watching the estate below.
