  I wasn’t sure if it was Lucille's conscience, or she was just afraid of doing a bad job that she asked for a doctor to come.   At first, I was worried I’d get fooled again. I didn't dare give the medicine for Lannie to drink until I personally tried it myself to make sure it was not poisonous.   I knelt on the ground with the medicine bowl in my hand, and persuaded her, "Lannie, I beg of you, just drink the medicine. You will die if you continue like this.
