The cell door closing made Matthew turn his head. He was just in time to see Upton fumbling to lock the door. Even though he wanted to stop Upton, it was already too late. Watching the scene unfold, Tommy was taken aback. He exclaimed, "Why are you locking the door? Aren't you supposed to let Gage out? What's the meaning of this?" Upton broke into laughter. "Why do I need to keep my promise, you idiot? That was just my trick to buy time. You fools were dumb enough to believe it." Tommy's expression darkened.
