"Come in," Noah said, settling back into his chair as he turned toward the door. His bloodied fingers rested on the desk. Outwardly, he looked calm, but inside, he was far from it. Ricky stepped into the office and froze for a moment at the scene before him. His gaze swept past Amber, and his grip tightened around the file in his hands. Amber felt the atmosphere in the office grow even heavier. A voice inside urged her to leave immediately, and she nearly ran out of the Ashford Corporation building. Inside the office, Ricky handed the documents to Noah without a word and stood quietly to the side. He was even careful with his breathing.
