Freddy then turned to the drawer. He crouched down and saw the strand of hair he had deliberately placed there. If the drawer had been moved, the hair would surely have fallen to the floor. After checking, he stood up, picked up a document, and walked out.
Jefferson said in a deep voice, "There's no rule against bringing kids to the office, but you should report it in advance."
Wynter nodded firmly. "Thank you, Mr. Paige."
Just then, Freddy stepped out of the office. His sharp eyes swept over them and lingered for nearly a minute before he finally spoke. "You should head home soon."
Wynter replied, "Thank you for your concern, Mr. Artie. We'll leave as soon as we finish organizing these documents."
Freddy nodded slightly and left with Jefferson.
