Chapter 65 No One Cares About the Truth, Only About Wendy
Kaia let out a cold snort, showing no intention of backing down.
"Maintaining order? It looks to me like you're just protecting Wendy. The patient isn't complaining about the noise, isn't saying she's tired, and doesn't want to rest. You're the only one desperate to kick us out. You must be hiding something."
"Watch your words!" Daphne snapped, her voice raised, anger flashing in her eyes.
"I'll speak however I want. You may be the hospital director, but you have no right to stop a patient from identifying the person who hurt her. If you keep interfering, don't blame me for suspecting you're deliberately shielding a murderer.
"Today, Lily must identify the culprit. No one should stop her." Kaia's unyielding stance infuriated Daphne even more.
Daphne's face darkened. A vein pulsed on her forehead, and hatred gleamed in her eyes as she barely restrained herself from ripping Kaia's mouth apart. "You're being completely unreasonable. Keep this up, and I'll have security throw you out.
