Chapter 307
Megan slipped into her nightgown and wrapped a trench coat over it. She glanced at the sleeping Ethan, then quietly took the room key and stepped out.
Her heart pounded like a drum as she stood before Room 338.
Just as she raised her hand to knock, the door swung open. A muscular arm reached out and pulled her inside.
The man trapped her between his chest and the wall, his intense gaze never leaving her face. "Did you miss me all these years?"
Megan stared at the face that had haunted her dreams. She cupped it in her hands, her fingertips tracing every detail—the slightly damp, coarse strands of his hair, the thick, well-defined brows, the narrow eyes, the sharp bridge of his nose, and those thin lips that had once kissed her. There wasn't a single part of him she hadn't longed for.
After a long pause, a tear rolled down her cheek. Her lips parted softly as she whispered, "Yes."
