He was always like this—whenever Isabelle was involved, he'd completely lose his head.
He never bothered to figure out the truth, just blindly trusted Isabelle's version of everything.
Even though Stella had prepared herself for this reaction, she still felt her chest rise and fall with frustration.
Holding back her anger, she forced her tone to stay flat as she said, "Charles, let me say it again—this has nothing to do with me. I haven't even seen Olivia, let alone done anything to her!"
She continued, "What really matters now isn't you blaming me for no reason—it's finding Olivia. You're her father. You should be the one most eager to do something about it."
From Stella's point of view, no matter how messy things got between adults, it was completely wrong to drag an innocent kid into the middle of it.
