The truth had come out, and Charles could hardly believe Isabelle had actually done something so vicious.
He took a slow breath, gently helped Olivia lie back on the bed, and spoke softly, "Sweetheart, rest for a bit. Daddy needs to make a call."
Olivia gave a small nod and closed her eyes obediently.
Charles got up, stepped out of the hospital room, and dialed Isabelle's number.
The second the call connected, her teary, shaky voice spilled through, "Charles, how's Olivia? My head's killing me, I couldn't come..."

Charles let out a cold chuckle; his voice was sharp. "Isabelle, you really have the nerve to ask me about Olivia? Don't act like you don't know what you did."
