"We will," my father assured. He lent over and kissed my mother's forehead before landing a kiss on her lips. I scratched the back of my neck awkwardly. Seeing your parents kissing is pretty awkward sometimes. When they finished, my father turned to me and nodded. He started walking in the rest of the way down the stairs and I followed him.
