Evan's face instantly darkened. When he unlocked his phone, his chest tightened. He waved everyone away. The group stood there, speechless. "Evan, really? You're worried about us looking now?" Evan completely ignored them. His hands trembled as he opened the video folder. He found the hidden folder, but when he opened it, it was empty. All the videos were gone. Even the trash was empty. A ringing sound seemed to echo in his head, as if something inside him had just collapsed. He finally understood why Joselyn had been acting so strangely lately. Why she was so quiet and why her smiles had become so rare. She'd known all along. That day at the club, she'd overheard everything. The date she'd circled on her calendar wasn't just her birthday.
