Wilson's voice wasn't loud, but it sure shut everyone up.
The reporters who had been chattering non-stop fell silent instantly. They turned to him, faces full of panic.
This was the man with Halebrook's economy in the palm of his hand—totally not someone to mess with.
Basically, compared to a powerhouse like him, these reporters were nothing more than ants.
"Leave," Wilson said flatly, clearly out of patience.
He didn't have to say it twice—cameras were immediately turned off, heads lowered, one by one they filed out the door.
One or two of them even sneakily tried to get a shot of the room as they left, still unwilling to give up.
Once they were gone, the director looked at Liliana apologetically.
"Sorry, they might've followed me. I didn't mean to cause all this."
Liliana simply nodded. He probably hadn't even noticed the cameras tailing him—too much going on too fast.
"You get some rest. I'll head out first," the director said awkwardly before turning to Wilson. He opened his mouth
