With a loud thud, Olivia almost dropped to her knees in front of Trisha.
Begging desperately, she pleaded, "Trisha, I swear I'll never do it again. I won't say another bad word about Liliana."
"I'm done giving you chances," Trisha snapped, pushing Olivia's hand away in disgust.
Olivia slumped to her knees, tears pouring down her face. "Trisha, I've worked my butt off to get here—I can't afford to get fired now."
But Trisha wasn't moved at all. Everything Olivia faced now was purely the result of her own actions.
Her expression was as cold as ever, and Olivia, eyes swimming with tears, realized there was no hope coming from that direction.
Left with no choice, Olivia turned to Liliana. "Liliana, can you at least say something for me?"
"I really got misled by those rumors online. I legit thought you were this horrible person, that's why I said what I said."
"You helped me when I first joined the company, remember? Can't you help me this once in return—just call it even?"
