Chapter 19
Quinley knew one thing for sure. Gary was never the type to give up easily. He had been kneeling outside her apartment all night.
The next morning, she purposely left early. However, as she walked toward the restaurant, a red sports car appeared out of nowhere, creeping up behind her like a ghost.
"Quinn, please. Give me a chance to make things right. I know I'm a bastard who doesn't deserve your forgiveness. No matter how long I kneel or how much I punish myself, it'll never compare to even a fraction of the despair I put you through.
"But I never wanted the divorce. I've already had Luna admitted to a psychiatric hospital. I swear I never loved her."
His desperate words made Quinley frown in disgust. He just kept going, and his voice grated on her nerves like nails on a chalkboard.
She finally stopped walking, crossed her arms, and looked at him with a mocking, cold smile. She was about to say something when a Rolls-Royce Phantom sped up behind the red car and rammed straight
