"Wow! She's so cool!" A few nearby tourists quickly raised their phones, snapping photos as if they'd just spotted a celebrity. Scarlett caught a glimpse of herself in the full-length mirror. For a moment, she was taken aback too. She looked like a sword-wielding heroine straight out of a period drama—bold, striking, and ready to take on the world. She couldn't help but pull out her phone and snap a picture of her reflection. She thought about sending it to Xavier, but decided that that might come off a little too intentional. So, instead, she posted it to Instagram with a caption. "Ready to wander the world, blade in hand." For a split second, even the shop assistant was caught off guard before hurrying over to offer a professional photoshoot. Scarlett declined. She knew how those things worked. Once she agreed to a few photos, she'd be roped into a whole expensive package. Besides, her phone camera was better than most of their equipment anyway. She didn't need the package.
