Louisa sobbed silently as she bent down to pick up her garments, which were strewn across the floor. Then she hurriedly put them back on, piece by piece. After she mended herself, she stood in front of me with smudged mascara and red lipstick, slapped my face, and snarled. 'You're a jerk." Taking advantage of that opportunity to say something, I drew myself closer to her and leaned my torso forward so my face would almost touch hers. 'I am nothing but a monster." I pulled up to reveal my grin. With a loud slam ringing in the room, she grumbled and grabbed her things as she exited the room in a snap. After she left, the silence took over the whole space. I looked up and released an exasperated sigh while sitting at the side of the bed alone, and let out an angry groan. I slouched and placed my elbows on my lap. What causes a person's heart to flutter? What the hell was I thinking? Confused, I stood up and pressed the cigarette into the ashtray with a shake
