Chapter132: Intensive Care Unit

Some friends generously lent money to Angeline and Bryan. For a while, the couple could breathe a sigh of relief. At least, they didn't have to worry about daily expenses for the next two weeks. However, all the plans they had made veered far off course. Two days ago, Dr. Frank told them that Jason had to be readmitted to the intensive care unit. This meant that the money intended for daily expenses had to be spent immediately. Two days in the intensive care unit with expensive medical treatments once again strained Bryan and Angeline's finances. They were frustrated and heartbroken, not knowing where to turn for a solution. "You should rest at the apartment, and I'll stay here to take care of Jason." Bryan gently patted his wife's shoulder, who had been sitting on the sofa ever since Jason was allowed to return to his regular room. Angeline looked up and shook her head slightly. She couldn’t bear to leave Jason to rest. She had promised herself to always be by Jason's side. "You shoul
