Andrew knew his mom, Stephanie, was still fuming—whatever he said now would just bounce right off her.
He had just stepped out when he ran into Gregory and Elizabeth getting out of the car.
"Hey Andrew, just got here or heading out?" Gregory asked casually.
Andrew sighed. "Dad, can you please try and talk some sense into Mom? I've seriously run out of ways to calm her down."
Gregory instantly figured out the issue. He spoke with a heavy tone, "Look, I'm just saying, Fiona really needs to fix that temper of hers. She can act sweet in front of us all she wants, but we know exactly how she treats the others in this house."
Andrew looked more and more sheepish. He'd already talked to Fiona about it, but her attitude wasn't so easily changed.
"Elizabeth, about this whole thing…"
"No need, Andrew," Elizabeth cut in. "I honestly don't care that much. But do me a favor—tell her this: in this house, people might still put up with her, but once she's out that door, no one's going to."
