Chapter 51
When I came out of the shower, I saw Felix wearing a bathrobe and drying his hair. He must have bathed in another room.
I quickly lowered my head, avoiding his gaze.
He walked over, gently removed my glasses, and softly said, "Why are you so scared? I'm not going to eat you."
He was so close that I could smell the faint, pleasant scent of camellia body wash on him. I instinctively stepped back and turned toward the vanity.

By the time I had finished getting ready, Felix was lying quietly in bed. His hands were folded neatly over his stomach in a proper sleeping posture.
I was secretly relieved—since it was already so late, maybe he wouldn't bother me tonight. I quietly lifted a corner of the blanket and lay down with my back to him.
The next second, I was pulled into an embrace that carried the lingering scent of camellia. The darkness limited my sense of sight, making every other sensation more intense.
