The next morning, I was in a deep sleep when loud knocking on the door jolted me awake.
After a ten-hour flight, I was already running on little sleep. Kept awake by the unfamiliar environment, I tossed and turned until early morning before I finally fell asleep—only to be woken up again far too soon.
I sat up in bed, irritated, before marching over and yanking open the wooden door in front of me. Silas was standing there, grinning.
"You'd better have a good reason for this. Otherwise, my morning temper might end with me punching you."
