Alexander pinched the space between his brows, trying to rein in the wave of frustration rolling in. His voice was cold. "Me? Scared? Don't make me laugh."
Samantha chuckled softly, straightened up, and focused on her phone again, completely ignoring him.

WhatsApp kept buzzing. Samantha kept typing away, an occasional smirk flashing across her face, clearly enjoying whatever conversation she was having.
Sitting next to her, Alexander was all stone-cold silence, the air around him growing icier by the second. The tension was so thick, it felt like breathing got harder inside the car.
Up front, the driver and Lucas were already on edge.
The vibe in the car was straight-up suffocating. They were just praying the couple didn't break into another argument—it was bad enough being stuck there, they didn't want to end up as collateral damage.
