Alexander caught her just in time. "Hey, you okay?" "My head... it's spinning," Sophia mumbled before slumping into his arms and passing out. Unsure of which room she was staying in, Alexander had no choice but to carry her back to his own. Once inside, he gently laid her down on the bed. His clothes were soaked through, clinging uncomfortably to his body. He grabbed a dry shirt from the closet, headed to the bathroom to clean up. The bathroom was steamy with warm mist. As he sank into a hot bath, memories of the argument with Samantha earlier filled his mind, a trace of irritation tightening between his brows. Letting the hot water ease his body, Alexander started thinking about sending her back to Lichester the next morning. Ever since her sudden return, that woman had become nearly impossible to deal with. Alexander, who's never lost sleep over business problems, was finally getting a taste of just how frustrating a person could be. He finished his bath and stood up, ready to dry of
