"Any luck finding a suitable nanny?" Elsie asked. "You've been interviewing for a whole week now."
Hayden frowned. "Nothing feels quite right. I'll keep looking."
She chuckled. "Mom keeps saying that she should just come over and help out. She'd bring Diana Walsh and the others to help take care of Quentin together."
The Tucker family lived right next door to the Suttons, and the two families were constantly in and out of each other's homes.
Her mother, Evelyn Grant, was dying to come over and help with her grandson, but Hayden kept turning her down.
"That won't do," Hayden said firmly. "If your mom moves in, there goes any chance of us having alone time at night."
Evelyn doted on Elsie, who was the textbook definition of a mama's girl. Whenever they were together, the conversation never seemed to end.
With work taking up his days, evenings were the only time he had with his wife. If he couldn't even have evenings with her, that was a deal-breaker.
