Damien shelved his thoughts. He was already here in Merova; the situation had long since passed beyond his control.
Autumn finished her brunch, with nothing planned for the afternoon or evening.
She couldn't just kick Damien out, and more importantly, she didn't want to waste her energy avoiding him. Doing so would only make it obvious that his presence bothered her.
