"He's being really cautious," Allen said. Chase could tell Allen was talking about Dawson, though he couldn't catch the exact words. What stunned him was Allen's nerve. Then, Chase quickly blocked Allen, gesturing at him in alarm. "What's gotten into you?" Already irritated, Allen replied with a dark edge, "If I got into a fight with Dawson, do you think I'd stand a chance?" Chase shot him a look. "Are you out of your mind?" Chase was left speechless. Autumn had been expecting Robin, so the sight of Dawson alone took her by surprise. She rose to her feet. "Mr. Faulkner, what an unexpected visit."
