When Camelia and Leon entered the room, Veronica's expression remained neutral.
"Mr. Lynch, Camelia and I came to see you. How are you recovering?" Leon placed the flowers, fruit, and nutritional supplements they had brought onto the nearby table.
"Quite well," Zion replied with a smile.
Zion and Monique generally had a decent impression of Leon, but the woman who came with him was another matter entirely. They disliked Camelia very much.
"Mr. Lynch, you must rest up and recover soon," Camelia said gently with a smile.
"Thank you for your concern," Zion replied flatly.
"Ms. Sandoval, you must be busy. You should head back now. Thank you for coming to see Zion," Monique said. The moment she spoke, it was clear that she meant to dismiss her. There wasn't even the slightest attempt at politeness.
Camelia's smile froze.
She had not expected Monique to be so blunt.
For a moment, the atmosphere in the ward grew awkward.
Gregory spoke. "Monique, Camelia just wanted to come see Zion.
