Chapter 109
Theodore was about to suggest he call someone to bring the stuff over, but he changed his mind at the last second.
"I'll go with you," he said, walking over to Victoria.
"There's no need. Your hand's not in good shape. I'll just go—won't take long," Victoria glanced at his injured hand and turned him down flat.
He was instantly shut down. He'd played up his injury hoping she'd take care of him, but now it just backfired.
"I don't feel okay letting you go alone. What if someone kidnaps you again? I might lose my other hand too," Theodore said seriously.
Victoria shot him a glare. "Theodore!"
"Let's go." Seeing her genuinely annoyed, he didn't push his luck and headed for the door first.
At the supermarket, Victoria pushed the cart while Theodore walked beside her, occasionally pointing at things for her to toss in.
For a brief second, it almost felt like they were just any normal couple, doing a grocery run after work, heading home to cook together.
