"The first aid kit's here. Handle it yourself, I'm gonna make pasta," Victoria said, placing the box down beside Theodore and turning to leave.
But of course, Theodore wasn't letting her off that easy. "There are cuts on my back too. I can't see them, and my hands aren't exactly working right now."
He waved his bandaged hand in front of her. "You're not seriously gonna ignore me, are you?"
"Go find a doctor then," Victoria replied, turning her gaze away.
"It's just a few scratches. No need to waste a hospital bed. Guess if no one helps, I'll just let them heal on their own... eventually." Theodore released her hand, sounding unusually dejected.
Victoria hesitated. Her heart softened.
