After getting out of the car, Isabella couldn't stop replaying Julian's expression in her mind. There was something off about that thoughtful smirk of his that just didn't sit right with her.
She really couldn't figure him out. But then again, she knew all too well—whatever Julian was planning, it wasn't her place to get involved.
All she had to do now was get this last thing done for him, then wash her hands of it for good. After that, she could just focus on being Mrs. Chambers and living her own life.
The day Victoria moved out of Henry's villa, Catherine clung to her hand like she didn't want to let go.
"Seriously, what's up with you? The year's barely started and you're already moving? I finally have someone around I can chat with, and now you're leaving too."
Victoria laughed and gave her a hug, a little reluctant to part as well.
"It's not like we'll never see each other again. If you ever want to talk, just give me a call, anytime."
