Theodore showed up at Isabella's place looking a little irritated.
Since she'd already set up facial recognition for him, he just walked in without a hitch.
The moment she heard the door open, Isabella lit up. Sure enough, he came. That's got to mean he still cares, right?

"Theodore, you came! I was so scared you'd ignore me," she said in a fragile tone, eyes filled with anticipation.
She knew this man too well. After all those years, Isabella had figured him out—tough and decisive at work, but emotionally clueless. He didn't respond to force, but a little softness? That worked like a charm. So she put on her usual act, looking all helpless and delicate.
Theodore was annoyed, that was for sure. But seeing her sitting there all cautious and pitiful did prick at his conscience a bit.
