Chapter 5 You Are a Whore at Best

His tone was sarcastic and dismissive. Regina clinched her hands, a look of fear in her eyes. She went into the car to calm herself down. She just closed the door. "Regina, you should know your own name. You're a prostitute at best." Her ears were filled with the man's undulating mockery. Regina laughed sarcastically. Her flamboyant face was stern. "There are so many males in the world, Mandel. Why should I care about you? Your skill in that area is about ordinary." To Mandel's ears, these words sounded harsh, like if a fuse had been lit in his heart. "Really? Have you slept with other males, based on what you're saying?" Mandel gripped Regina's chin, his face dark beyond description. His eyes were filled with rage. "Does it matter to you?" Regina wished to flee but was unable to do so. Her jaw began to hurt more and more. Instead, Mandel smiled. One of his large hands clamped down on Regina's hands like a vice, then shoved up against her. "Ssshh..." The sound of garments being ripped filled the air. "What are you doing, Mandel?" Regina's voice quiver and was filled with fear. A huge chunk of white flesh exposed in the chilly air, smooth as immaculate jade. "Please don't get any closer. You're breaking the law if you do it! It's enough to get you in prison..." Cold lips sealed both her petals before the final words could be spoken, forcing the remainder of the words to be swallowed back between her throat. "Umm!" Regina hit Mandel's chest fiercely, but the man was unmoved and got more reckless. She had the sensation that a slick, icy snake was creeping through her body. Her skin was swollen with goosebumps, and her stomach was flooded with sickness. Her eyes were filled with despair. Suddenly, a bell rang. Regina breathed a sigh of relief as she felt the man's movements come to a halt. Mandel scowled slightly and took a step back. "What is it?" he said, his tone impatient. "Madam instructed you to return home as soon as possible. She wants to talk to you about something." The man frowned more severely. Mandel gazed at Regina, whose clothing were half ripped, after hanging up the phone. He removed his suit jacket and tossed it to her. Regina did not object and immediately put on the costume. Even if the clothing were a touch oversized, they were still large enough to cover the body. Looking out the window at the passing scenery, she scowled slightly and asked, "Where are you driving me?" The man did not say anything. "Where the hell are you taking me, Mandel? Put me down quickly!" Regina's frown deepened. Mandel gazed ahead indifferently, as if he hadn't heard, without squinting. Time flew by. The car drove up a concealed lane, turning and bending, surrounded by cypress trees, hanging with one withered maple leaf after another. The car stopped. Regina glanced at the traditional and exquisite ancient mansion in front of her as though it had been tainted by time after they stepped out of the car. "Why have you brought me here?" As she gazed at the man in front of her, Regina's eyes were filled with trepidation. The sound of a footstep interrupted Mandel's words. "Mandel, you've returned..." Hannah had not finished her sentence. Joy was still hanging on her face, but her eyes remained fixed on Regina. "Why did you bring her to the old mansion?" "It's my business, Mom." Mandel's tone was flat. "I forgot to bring something really important with me the last time I went here. I came to see if I had left it anywhere." Hannah showed an elegant smile. The phone rang again. Mandel looked down at his phone. He answered with a faint scowl and hung up swiftly. "You'll stay here, and I'll come over tonight." Mandel's gaze was fixed on Hannah rather than Regina. His eyes were unusually deep, as if warning. The man raced away after saying that. Hannah walked in high heels as the shining car drove away. Step by step, she leaned into Regina, like a deadly snake wrapping. "It appears you didn't hear my last warning." Hannah's gaze was drawn to Regina's blue suit jacket. "He's even put his suit jacket on over you, and you dare to tell me you didn't seduce him?" A touch of surprise crossed the bottom of her eyes, followed by a heavy disgust and disdain. "I didn't try to seduce him. He was certainly the one who forced..." Hannah sneered as she ripped open her blue suit jacket. Regina shouted and threw her arms around herself in an attempt to hide. However, she was unable to conceal a vast stretch of white flesh exposed in the air. The ambiguous traces could clearly be seen. "How dare you say no!" Hannah slapped Regina in the face. The slap was audibly loud in the air. "The next time I see you restless and seducing someone else, it won't be as simple as a slap on the wrist." Hannah's warning voice sounded in her ears. "Boom." The gate of the old mansion was closed tightly. Regina took up the only suit that could cover her body and gazed at the ancient and heavy gate, which was guarded by two majestic stone lions. They looked like a symbol of the power of the Martin family. It seemed as if a massive mountain was bearing down on her spine, preventing her from breathing. Her eyes were filled with terror and helplessness, as if she had grasped that the Martin family was at the top of the upper class. She couldn't stay here! A few hours passed. The sun was setting in the west. Regina's legs weighed as much as lead. She didn't dare to halt on her way to the hospital because she could only rely on her to leave a mark of warmth on this earth. "I'm going back, Mom..." Regina's pupils condensed slightly. The hospital bed was vacant except for a single unplugged respirator. She trembled as a chill spread from her feet to the top of her head. "I need to see the doctor. Yes, the doctor must be aware of her location!" Regina's expression was a bit crazy. "The doctor has no idea where your mother is." In her ears, she heard a low magnetic voice. It was Noah. "Do you have any idea where my mom is? Will you tell me?" Regina clutched Noah's collar with trepidation. Her eyes were scarlet at the bottom. She was left with only her mother and couldn't afford to lose her. "Yes. But first, you're coming home with me." Noah's eyes glowed with rage and hatred, but his tone was calm. "Okay, okay, I'll go home with you." Regina was uninterested in anything, let alone seeing the emotions in Noah's eyes. She merely desired to reclaim her mother. At the Martin house. Regina arrived at Martin's residence and found no servants. She awoke suddenly, heightened in vigilance. "Where is my mom, Noah?" Regina looked at Noah's still-simple face through the afterglow, but the bottom of his eyes gradually rolled up with lunacy. "She is in that room."
