Chapter 134 The Real and Fake Eileen
After ending the call, Joseph headed downstairs as his mind replayed the scene from last night in the ward.
Elaine had sat up in bed, looking at him with pleading eyes as she said, "Please help me."
There had been so many people in the ward at the time, but he was certain that Elaine's words were directed at him. She had been looking straight at him when she said them.
When he went to the psychiatrist's office downstairs, the psychiatrist was already waiting for him.
The doctor handed him the evaluation report. "Ms. Nagel's condition is indeed the result of brain trauma from a car accident years ago, which caused her psychological issues. There is absolutely no possibility that she's pretending to be slow, as you suggested."
Then, the doctor added, "Her current intelligence level is roughly that of a six- or seven-year-old child. But she's not completely stupid or insane. She's just not very bright and generally wouldn't do things like harming others for no reason."
